Why does jeans shopping suck?

There’s one thing I hate more than washing clothes: and that’s jeans shopping. I have never given it much thought though, until I saw this clip (posted on Nextopia):

Jeans shopping sucks, because there too many models too choose from. Combined with a hefty price tag (a normal pair of jeans will set you back at least SEK 1000), a sexy brand that will give you eternal life, the expectations are just through the roof. This can only result in disappointment. The common sense is to offer just a few different models. Brands don’t know this, because from an economics standpoint, it makes sense to provide as many models as possible.

Jeans
Acne currently offers 28 different models for men.

Nowadays I’ve found sanctuary for my cheapskate soul on Weekday, where during sale days you can get a pair of nondescript cheep monday jeans for SEK 100(!). This warrant few expectations of perfect fit for me and I only have to find my size and check that they fit ok before deciding that they are “me”. That way I have relatively little to loose if I decide that they suck and chuck them. Best aspect of consumtion society is that stuff is bloody cheap sometimes!

Only problem is the smugness of every weekday employee in the universe, a definite problem with their nonexistent peak-end strategy.
